Using someone else's driver's license as your own is considered a class C misdemeanor. A class C misdemeanor is punishable by up to 60 days in jail plus a fine of up to $500. Producing or assisting in the production of a false identification card is considered a class B misdemeanor. A class B misdemeanor is punishable by up to 180 days in jail plus a fine of up to $1,000. Applying for a driver's license with false information is considered application fraud, a level 6 felony. A level 6 felony is punishable by between 6 months and 2 1/2 years in jail plus a fine of up to $10,000.
