What does a curb painted with yellow markings indicate?

To restrict parking, colored curb markings can be used in addition to or instead of regulatory signs. In Montana, a curb painted yellow indicates that no parking is allowed there. That is, you may stop there only long enough to pick up or drop off passengers or cargo, and you must stay with your vehicle. (Note: There is no national standard for curb colors.
