If an adult driver is convicted of DUI with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) less than 0.10%, he or she will face the following penalties for a first offense: A fine of $100 – $300, a highway safety assessment of $500, an additional $86 fee, and license suspension for 30 – 180 days. In addition, the person will be sentenced to jail for up to one year, required to perform 10 – 60 hours of community service, or both.
