If your vehicle stalls on railroad tracks when a train is approaching, what should you do?

A train can't yield the right-of-way to you. A train traveling at 60 mph can take more than a mile to come to a complete stop. Therefore, if your vehicle gets stuck on a railroad track when a train is approaching, don't spend any time trying to free your vehicle. Instead, get everyone including yourself out of your vehicle and run at about a 45-degree angle to the tracks in the direction from which the train is approaching.
