A center lane between opposing lanes of traffic may be designated for left turns only. Vehicles from either direction may use this center lane for left turns. This lane, known as a shared center left-turn lane, is marked by parallel solid and broken yellow lines and is sometimes accompanied by white arrows on the pavement.
