The Division of Motor Vehicles is under the control of the New Hampshire Department of Public Safety. Visit one of the offices located around the state if you prefer to conduct business in person. The DMV only accepts walk-ins for knowledge tests. If you want to take a road test, you'll need to schedule a time. Only after passing the knowledge test may your schedule for the road test.
If you use online services, you won’t have to go to the DMV. You can pay for your tickets and renew your license online. Visa and MasterCard payments are accepted at the DMV. You must print out a temporary license if you renew your license online or else you won't have proof of a license until it arrives in the mail.
