Question:

You are on a divided highway. You approach a school bus that has stopped with flashing red lights on the opposite side of the highway. Do you have to stop here?

A
explanation

Normally, you must stop for a stopped school bus whose red lights are flashing, no matter which direction it is traveling in. In Oregon, however, there is one exception: You don't have to stop if the school bus is stopped on the opposite side of a divided highway and the highway is divided by an unpaved median strip or barrier. A painted median strip or a two-way left-turn lane does NOT qualify as a barrier. (Note: Not all states provide this exception. Some states provide other exceptions. When traveling out of Oregon, always check the local traffic laws.) [School Buses; School, Church or Worker and Public Transit Buses; 4. Sharing the Road; Oregon Driver Manual]

I’m using this app to study for my permit test and it is so useful!! Easy to study for your DMV test with or without the manual. I had sent a request to change one part of the app and they gladly complied to my request which I was very happy to see! Definitely recommend~
