You are driving on a divided highway with the two roadways separated by a painted median strip. You approach a school bus with its lights flashing that is stopped on the opposite roadway. What should you do?

In Oregon, you must stop for a stopped school bus with its lights flashing no matter which side of the road it is traveling on. Remain stopped until the bus driver turns off the flashing red lights. There is one exception: You don't have to stop if the school bus is stopped on the opposite side of a divided highway and the highway is divided by an unpaved median strip or barrier. A painted median strip or a two-way left-turn lane does NOT qualify as a barrier. (Note: Not all states provide this exception. Some states provide other exceptions. When traveling out of state, always check the local traffic laws.)
