When a police vehicle, authorized emergency vehicle, or emergency service vehicle approaches you, you must pull over to the right and stop to let the vehicle pass, no matter which direction the emergency vehicle is traveling in. (However, if you're in the middle of an intersection, don't stop there. Proceed through the intersection and then immediately pull over to the right and stop.) Remain stopped until the emergency vehicle has passed.
