A valid Utah driver license or learner's permit is required for any Utah resident who drives a motor vehicle on a public roadway. You must pass a vision, written, and driving test to obtain a driver's license. The Utah DMV written test will include questions on road signs, road rules, safe driving practices, traffic laws, license sanctions, and questions pertaining to the class of license you are applying for. There are 25 questions on the Utah DMV knowledge test, and you must get at least 20 accurate answers to pass (80% or higher).
