A learner's permit, or sometimes called a learner license, enables student drivers to practice driving legally while accompanied by a licensed driver. Applicants under the age of 25 must finish a driver education course that has been approved. In Texas, you must pass a written and driving test, as well as a vision screening, in order to obtain a driver's license. The Texas DMV knowledge test includes questions on road rules, traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices, as well as other information from the Texas Driver's Manual. The Texas DMV written test has 30 questions, and you must answer at least 21 of them correctly (70%) to pass.
