A Delaware driver’s license (DL) is a card that gives you permission to drive a motor vehicle. Your full name, date of birth, mailing address, signature, photo, and physical description are available on the DL card. You have to bring the card anytime you drive a motor vehicle.
Before you can get a class C license in Delaware, you are required to pass relevant knowledge and driving tests to show your knowledge about the rules of the road and indicate your driving skills. In Delaware, there are 30 questions. The 2023 Delaware Driver's Manual contains all of the answers to this 30-question multiple-choice test, and you must score at least 80% to pass.

The fee for an eight-year license is $40.00, with extra costs for certain endorsements. There are no additional fees if the learner's permit was valid at the time of the examination and is returned.
